Who we are
3 Seeds mentoring group is a movement. We are a collective of passionate college and career success coaches who help students to develop their own individual life roadmaps. We understand that our students come from many different home environments and life situations so we look to support their development inside and outside of the classroom. Our goal is to expose them to as many different hands on experiences as possible in hopes of them connecting with a path that directly speaks to their natural ability and destiny. On their unique journey towards self-awareness we are the tour guides assigned to them during this season to assist and develop them along the way. Our end goal is to help our students attain their life goals beyond their high school diploma and introduce each student to who they were always meant to be.
The Power of a seed
Although we are a mentoring organization, a lot of our principals and beliefs are very similar to what takes place on a farm. The reason we chose the name 3 Seeds is because seeds are very powerful despite their size and their progress and success rates have stood the test of time. Here are 3 facts about seeds that they also have in common with our students:
A seed does nothing until its planted:
Seeds do not grow sitting in a box on a shelf. They must be planted in the right environment in order for them to grow. Good ground is preferred and we believe our organization provides an environment that encourages each seeds to develop properly.
A seed is persistent:
A seed never gives up, but works day and night. Even when you are sleeping, the seed you have planted is working to grow and express itself in a fruitful harvest. The positive seeds we plant in our students are consistently working to build up their self-confidence. We are constantly speaking life into them and we know that our words and actions are helping to develop them well beyond their time with us.
A seed takes time to produce:
No one expects a seed to produce a harvest the same day that seed is planted. True growth and development takes time and we understand that we are just planting seeds in our students that will develop fully at the appropriate time. They will come in contact with other professionals and mentors along the way and we know that some of our conversations and experiences will be fully realized later on in life.
